Hamburgers with Balsamic Onions

It is so easy to make your own hamburgers. They are really tasty, you can add ingredients to suit your taste and they are cheaper than take away. It is important that the mince you use has a decent fat content to improve the flavour and keep the patty moist - a dry hamburger patty doesn’t make for enjoyable eating! The pictured hamburger is in a wholemeal roll which two of us eat, while the other two have their burgers in a damper roll. You can choose whatever bun you like - white, wholemeal , brioche or whatever takes your fancy. An egg is not required to bind the meat, it stays together without one, Balsamic onions make the burger a little bit special.
